You may have noticed I haven't posted in a while. My life has been a bit of a whirlwind! I can truly tell you that I am in an amazing place right now, but the past few weeks have brought a lot of changes.
Several weeks ago I was feeling rather ragged. Like I was spinning in all kinds of circles and not moving in any clear direction. Part of my own practice of living in alignment is that when I get that hectic, overwhelmed feeling, I slow down and focus on what I know to be right for me. I took some time off to meditate, read, connect with friends, do yoga. It was amazing, and I'm so grateful that I have the luxury to be able to do all of those things for myself.
The best part of this practice is that when we bring our energy up to a very positive place, everything else in our live tends to rise to meet us. For me that meant changes.
Some of my relationships have shifted in nature, and the way I felt about my life in Seattle came into clear view. I love it here, but it is no longer where I'm meant to be.
For that reason, I'm moving back home to Chicago. The movers have gotten my things, I'm staying with some amazing friends, and will be flying back (with the cat) on a one-way ticket May 5. Almost exactly 5 years from when I came here. Amazing how time flies!
Some Q&A for you now...
Will you still be teaching yoga? I'm not ruling it out, but also not certain that it will fit the new life I'm building. I will still offer private sessions to anyone who wants them, but whether or not I teach regularly at a studio is still uncertain for me.
What about a job? I'll still be taking on new clients and working with all of my Seattle-based clients remotely. I am also looking forward to getting back into marketing and am on the job hunt for a full-time marketing manager role right now, which I'm very excited about.
Where will you be living? Somewhere on the north side of the city. I am waiting to look for an apartment until I have the previously mentioned full-time job.
If you have more questions, feel free to send me a note. I hope to hear from you all very soon!
